Installation



Before installing the extension, please make sure to Backup your web directory and store database


You will require to install MageDelight Base Extension first. If it is not installed then please download it from https://www.magedelight.com/pub/extensions/magedelight-base.zip and unzip the package file into the root folder of your Magento 2 installation.

Root Directory is - "app/code/magedelight/#YourExtensionName#"

  • Unzip the extension package file into the root folder of your Magento 2 installation.
  • Connect to SSH console of your server:
    • Navigate to the root folder of your Magento 2 setup

    • Run command as per below sequence,

      php bin/magento setup:upgrade

      php bin/magento setup:di:compile

      php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

      php bin/magento cache:clean

  • log out from the backend and log in again


If you are using Magento 2.3 or later then you do not need to activate license. Extension will be activated with silent activation mechanism and does not require activation keys to be entered manually.   



Backend Configuration (Admin side)

Facebook integrations

  • Enable Facebook Integration: Select "Yes" to enable Facebook social sell page functionality. It will allow you to integrate your Magento store to Facebook.
  • Enable Facebook Banner: Select "Yes" to set banner for your Magento store to get displayed while integrated on Facebook. It will add uploaded banner on your Magento store and display on Facebook Social Sell page.
  • Facebook Page Banner: Upload image to display as banner on your Magento store shared on Facebook.
  • Facebook Home Page Category: Select category to display at Magento home page integrated on Facebook.
  • Disable Header on Facebook Store: Select "Yes" to disable header for Facebook store.
  • Disable Footer on Facebook Store: Select "Yes" to disable footer for Facebook store.
  • Show Home link in Menu on Facebook Store: Select "Yes" to show home link in menu for Facebook store.
  • Show FB Like link on Catalog Page: Select "Yes" to show Facebook link on catalog page.

  • Show FB Like link in Product Page: Select "Yes" to show Facebook link on product page.

  • Steps to integrate Facebook

  • Open Link https://developers.facebook.com/apps and login with your Facebook account

  • After logged in to your account click on button Add a New App and fill required information

  • Again open https://developers.facebook.com/apps URL and Click on the Settings on the top left side, on the bottom right side press the Add Platform button

  • Select Facebook Web Games on the popup,

  • Add website base URL in the  Facebook Web Games URL  and save.

  • After again press the  Add Platform button and choose  Page Tab.

  • In  Secure Page Tab URL  add URL like this example, [BASE URL]/md_socialsell/facebook/

  • Create a Facebook Page, Go to  https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/ Here you will be selecting Local Business or Place. Choose the category from the drop down, give your address details and click  ‘Start’  button.

  • open https://developers.facebook.com/apps and get your APP ID


WhatsApp Integrations

  • Enable WhatsApp Integration: Select "Yes" to enable WhatsApp sharing.
  • Enable WhatsApp Sharing Only from Mobile: Select "Yes" to enable WhatsApp sharing only from mobile devices. Share button will be only displayed on mobile devices.
  • Enable Cart Sharing: Select "Yes" to enable cart sharing on WhatsApp.
  • Cart Sharing Custom Message: Provide customized message to send with cart sharing.
  • Enable at Product Listing: Select "Yes" to enable WhatsApp sharing for product listing page.
  • Enable at Product View: Select "Yes" to enable WhatsApp sharing for product details page.


  • Product Sharing Custom Message: Provide customized message to send with product sharing.
  • Enable UTM Tracking: Select "Yes" to enable UTM tracking. It will help you to check analytical status of your store in Google Analytics.
  • Campaign Source: Provide UTM campaign source details.
  • Campaign Medium: Provide UTM Campaign medium details.
  • Enable Bitly Short Url: Select "Yes" to enable bitly short URLs for WhatsApp sharing.
  • Bitly Access Token: Provide bitly access token. You can get access token from your bitly account.


Pinterest Integrations

  • Enable Pinterest Integration: Select "Yes" to enable Pinterest sharing.
  • Enable at Product Listing Page: Select "Yes" to enable Pinterest sharing for product listing page.
  • Enable at Product View: Select "Yes" to enable Pinterest sharing for product details page.


Twitter Integrations

  • Enable Twitter Integration: Select "Yes" to enable Twitter sharing.
  • Enable at Product Listing Page: Select "Yes" to enable Twitter sharing for product listing page.
  • Enable at Product View: Select "Yes" to enable Twitter sharing for product details page.
  • Share Description: Select description to share on Twitter. You can select product short description or long description. It will share up to 200 characters of description on Twitter.
  • Enable Bitly Short URL: Select "Yes" to enable bitly short URLs for Twitter sharing.
  • Bitly Access Token: Provide bitly access token. You can get access token from your bitly account.

Frontend Functionality

  • Social Media Promotions button on catalog page

  • Social Media Promotions button on product details page

  • Social Media Promotions button (WhatsApp share) on cart page (Cart Sharing)
